In the heart of São Filipe, Fogo, overlooking the historic town center and the ocean, with a breathtaking view of the neighboring island of Brava, lays The Colonial Boutique Hotel.

Occupying a house built in 1883 by one of the most significant characters in the history of Fogo Island, The Colonial Boutique Hotel represents one of the town's most noted examples of sobrado architecture, and is today one of the most famous structures in the archipelago.

Carefully restored to its original glory, The Colonial Boutique Hotel offers ten beautiful appointed guest accomodations. Each room, with its unique shape and size. Please note that in order to maintain the architectural layout of the house, and preserve it for the future, some guest rooms have an in-suit bathroom while others have a private bathroom located just short distance from the room.

After taking a leisurely stroll through the cobblestone streets of the historic town center, visiting the lively local market, or taking an island excursion to visit the Vocano or another of the island's spectacular natural attractions, guests at the Colonical Boutique Hotel can relax in one of our two interior countryards - one surrounding a refreshing swimming pool and the other planted with vines that provide cool shade to guests who wish to read a book, or enjoy a conversation over a cocktail or cup of coffee. Our spacious pool terrace, offered to our guest to unwind while enjoying the commanding view of the town, the ocean, and the island of Brava in the distance.

After a restful night's sleep, guests at The Colonial Boutique Hotel enjoy a full breakfast of tropical fruits, freshly baked bread, eggs, meats, local artesian goat cheese, and, of course, hot coffee brewed from the world-renown beans grown in our island's rich volcanic soil.
